Thousands of anti-abortion demonstrators assembled in Buenos Aires on Saturday, urging the Argentine government and parliament to revoke existing laws that permit elective abortions. The legislation, introduced in January 2021 by former President Alberto Fernandez, allows for the voluntary termination of pregnancy under specific conditions, up to 14 weeks gestation, without any charge.
