Graham Claims Green “Fails to Grasp” Iran’s Nuclear Threat

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) stated in a Tuesday interview that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) “doesn’t grasp” the nuclear threat that Iran poses.

“I have a lot of respect for Marjorie, but honestly, she doesn’t understand the threat, in my view,” Graham said during his conversation with John Roberts on Fox News.

“If you fail to recognize that a religious theocracy, akin to religious Nazis, would use nuclear weapons to wipe out all Jews, then you won’t pay heed,” Graham continued. “They are a danger to us and to the state of Israel. It is not in the world’s best interest to allow this religious fanatic to acquire nuclear weapons.”

Graham’s remarks followed Greene’s opposition to potential U.S. involvement in the Israeli-Iran conflict.

He was prompted to react to her comment asserting, “No one who wants America to be fully involved in the Israel/Iran war has America first/MAGA values.”

“I loathe the idea of harming innocent people. We are exhausted by foreign wars,” she said, continuing her point on X.

Their differing viewpoints highlight the rifts emerging among supporters of President Trump regarding U.S. military involvement in Israel and the urgency to take decisive actions against Tehran to effectively dismantle its nuclear ambitions.

Nonetheless, Graham dismissed the divide within the Republican Party, asserting that those who oppose supporting Israel are in the minority.

“Republicans who are against aiding Israel in its stance against Iran could fit inside a phone booth,” he remarked in the interview.

“I’m not concerned about Republicans. Republicans stand with Israel,” he added.

Oka reached out to Greene’s office for further comments.
