Stefon Diggs Declines to Comment on Talks with Patriots Regarding Viral Videos

Foxborough, Massachusetts (AP) — New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs chose not to disclose specifics regarding his recent discussion with the team after a viral video surfaced showing him. Requesting what appeared to be a pink crystal bag from a woman on a boat last month.

“I want to be honest with you all. However, I prefer not to discuss my personal life,” Diggs stated on Tuesday following the team’s final minicamp practice. “I’m sure everyone here is wonderful, but I like to keep my life private.”

This was the first time Diggs addressed reporters since the video showing him conversing with three women before presenting the item was shared online. The nature of the substance remains unclear. An NFL spokesperson previously indicated the league would refrain from commenting, while Vrabel mentioned the team would address the matter internally.

“It’s clearly a discussion taking place internally. I can’t elaborate much on it,” Diggs remarked. “The talks I’ve had (with Vrabel) and the staff in the building are being dealt with within the organization.”

Diggs missed several optional team training sessions this spring, but he attended the subsequent session following the video’s release. He also participated in mandatory minicamp practices for the Patriots on Mondays and Tuesdays. Vrabel canceled the third practice originally slated for Wednesday.

The 31-year-old Diggs was seen engaging in multiple activities with hip-hop icon Cardi B this offseason, drawing extra attention to his status as a 10-year NFL veteran. He signed with the Patriots this offseason as a free agent on a three-year, $69 million contract, which includes $26 million in guarantees.

The four-time Pro Bowl selection recorded six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with the Vikings and Bills before being traded from Buffalo to Houston last spring. He managed to catch 47 passes for 496 yards and three touchdowns in eight games with the Texans. I tore the ACL in my right knee last October.

Diggs mentioned his primary goal is to fully rehabilitate his knee before the start of training camp in July.

“I work hard every day,” he said. “While I can’t do much with the team yet, I want to be ready whenever they need me. I’m just trying to stay focused.”

During Tuesday’s practice, he occasionally participated as they introduced a new play for the team’s offense; however, he was not allowed to engage in full-speed drills and instead worked individually with a trainer.

Nonetheless, this does not diminish his determination to be cleared for full contact.

“I feel confident. I’ve taken my rehabilitation seriously,” Diggs expressed. “Initially, I lacked confidence, but I’ve been pushing myself … When I returned here, my mindset was to improve, but it feels like I’m a dog on a leash.”
